Free Internet/Wi-Fi and Computer Access at the Library:

Visitors to the library can access our free Wi-Fi network; please check the notice in the library for the password.

Feel free to use the public computers in the datarom on the third floor.

Both Wi-Fi and computer access are free of charge.

Self-service printing, copying, and scanning via Princh:

Sandnes Library uses the printing system Princh to offer printing services to the public. You can print from your own computer, mobile phone, or borrow one of our public machines. Prints are available immediately after payment.

Scanning is Free of Charge

Study and Group Rooms:

Need a place to study or to work?

Sandnes library has five study rooms for individuals, designated for reading and quiet study (study cells), and three group rooms, designated for meetings and group work. All are drop-in and cannot be reserved in advance.

If you need to leave the room for a break of up to 30 minutes, you can borrow a key at the counter to lock the room while you're away.

In addition to study rooms and group rooms, the library has a reading room on the third and fourth floors, reading and study areas throughout the premises, and the Book Loft, which features sofa groups and desks.

Outreach Delivery Service

If, for health reasons, you are unable to come to the library, you can have books delivered to your home. Tell us what kind of books you like, and you can have a visit once a month.

Seed Library: Borrow, Grow, Share!

At our library, you can borrow seeds for your gardening projects. Borrow seeds in spring, harvest and return them in autumn so others can enjoy them the following year.

The principle is Borrow-Cultivate-Harvest-Return.

You can find the Seed Library next to our gardening books on the third floor. In the seed archive, you choose the seeds you want to plant yourself. No registration required.

The Seed Library is part of our commitment to sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals Library.

Art Loan:

Borrow artwork to display on your home walls. Check here for an overview of available pieces.

Place your order and pick up at the counter during staffed opening hours after receiving a pickup notification.

Pickup deadline is one week. Art loans can only be picked up and returned at Sandnes Library.

Here are the specific rules for art loans:

• Present your library card and identification at checkout.

• The loan period is 12 weeks and cannot be extended.

• Borrowers must be at least 20 years old and residents of Sandnes municipality.

• You can borrow up to 2 pictures at a time.

• Artwork must be packaged in the provided bag during transport.

• Compensation for accidents or loss will be assessed individually.

• Artotek pictures are for loan only and not for sale.

Loan of season tickets for Sandnes Ulf matches:

Sandnes Library and Sandnes Ulf want to give everyone the opportunity to attend Sandnes Ulf's home games - Completely free! Limited availability.
